Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide skilled occupational therapy services to students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services to students in a school setting
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Assess student's needs and develop strategies to improve functional abilities
  • Document student progress and communicate with parents and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
  • One year of prior professional occupational therapy experience preferred
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
