Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, easy, and friendly service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate cash control
  • Unload customers' groceries from carts, check prices, and bag items efficiently
  • Assist customers with their orders, answer questions, and resolve issues in a professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the front-end area and shopping carts
  • Report any register malfunctions or cleaning issues to the Customer Service Manager or MOD
  • Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and standard practices
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand for long periods, frequently walk short distances, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions
  • Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions
  • Ability to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners
