Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our Behavioral Health team at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting professional staff in the coordination and completion of non-clinical functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient information, messages, and medical documentation.
  • Maintain Electronic Medical Records and facilitate smooth operation of the unit.
  • Meet Health System's Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards, including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to patients.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting techniques on computer devices and answer basic device questions.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and professional staff, receiving data and ensuring appropriate processing occurs.
  • Assemble and disassemble patients' charts upon admission and discharge, and prepare patient charts for transfers to other units.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous hospital or medical office experience preferred.
  • Basic Medical Terminology and Anatomy knowledge required, with advanced classes preferred.
