Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to students, families, colleagues, and school leadership
  • Engage in curriculum development and planning
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively
  • Communicate in a constructive and clear manner
  • Maintain precise documentation related to licensing standards, health, and safety of children
  • Follow all organizational and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate positive behavior and guide children towards responsible conduct
  • Complete all required training in a timely manner
  • Implement the daily curriculum and schedule, providing weekly feedback.

Qualifications:

  • 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential
  • First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Successful Criminal Background Check
  • Successful Drug Screening
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in lesson planning
  • Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English
  • Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are advantageous
  • Effective behavior management strategies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both children and administration
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Compensation: $17.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

Schedule:

  • Part-time with potential for full-time hours
