As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in the movement of materials and products within our facility. Your responsibilities will include operating robust forklifts and other machinery to transport, stack, and organize lumber and supplies. This position is essential for maintaining production flow and ensuring that materials are correctly positioned at all times. This position is a full-time permanent role with a standard workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and effectively operate the forklift to transport lumber and other materials throughout the facility.Load and unload trucks for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper and secure placement.Organize and stack materials in designated areas to maintain an orderly workspace.Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on the forklift to ensure optimal performance.Collaborate closely with team members, including production staff and supervisors, to facilitate smooth operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

1-2 years of experience operating forklifts, particularly heavy-duty models, in an industrial or manufacturing setting.Strong knowledge of forklift operation and safety practices, with the ability to handle large, heavy materials accurately.Capacity to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.Attention to detail to ensure precise placement and secure handling of materials.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
