PACU Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Technician to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

• Assist in the preparation of operating rooms and other perioperative areas, maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patients.
• Transport patients, equipment, and supplies to various areas, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing compressed gas cylinders, to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.
• Assist with patient admission and discharge, as well as provide skilled patient care, including vital sign monitoring and general assessment.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.

• Equivalent to high school education.
• PCA or EMT certification.
• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and perioperative care.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of nursing procedure experience.
• Ability to take direction, set priorities, and organize work assignments.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.
