JOIN ABITA BREWING COMPANY AS A BARTENDER/SERVER

The Bartender/Server plays a vital role in enhancing the visitor experience at our Tap Room. Upon successful training, you will earn the title of Beer Guide, responsible for leading brewery tours and conducting tastings of our exceptional craft beers. Your duties will include pouring beers, managing the retail area, operating the growler filling station, and warmly welcoming guests. As a Beer Guide, you will embody the spirit of our brand, and your professionalism and people skills will be essential in creating memorable experiences for our visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding service to guests while ensuring responsible alcohol service.
  • Pour beers, manage keg changes, clean glassware, and maintain draft systems.
  • Conduct informative tours and tastings of Abita Brewing Company's offerings.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of our beers and related products.
  • Assist with ticket sales, respond to inquiries, and provide directions to guests.
  • Manage merchandise and beer stocking, ensuring a well-maintained retail area.
  • Greet visitors, verify IDs, and keep accurate guest counts.
  • Participate in promotional events and off-site activities as needed.
Work Environment:

The characteristics of the work environment are representative of those encountered while performing essential job functions.
  • Ability to perform all functions within the Tap Room.
  • Position requires prolonged standing, bending, lifting up to 65 pounds, and repetitive motions.
  • Utilize office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience in the service industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) are necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse guests.
  • A valid state or federal ID is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.
