Job Summary

This is a temporary food service position at Colorado State University. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of food to students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of food items from preprinted menus using standardized recipes and methods.
  • Clean and sanitize all production and service areas, machinery/equipment, dishes, and utensils.
  • Learn and assist in recording temperature control checks (HACCP).
  • Assist and learn all sanitation duties to include dish room and disposal operations.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of how to operate each station and produce all menu items.
Requirements
  • Six months of general food service experience.
  • Ability to comprehend written instructions for equipment operation, chemical supplies, safety instruction, policies, and guidelines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily scheduling requirements.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
