Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a seasoned Financial Consultant to work remotely. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical capabilities and a systematic approach to financial oversight, monitoring, and reporting. As we implement organizational improvements, the consultant will define roles and responsibilities, establish standardized tools, and create streamlined processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating spending plans and tracking fund statuses for various projects, analyzing expenditure patterns and aligning with leadership objectives.
  • Evaluate the financial management team structure to ensure optimal alignment of personnel, processes, and policies.
  • Develop and maintain essential resources, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, and templates, to document financial management tasks and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Establish standardized tools and processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support in response to agency-level changes affecting financial management.
  • Conduct analyses of initiatives, assessing costs, benefits, and risks against industry benchmarks.
  • Facilitate coordination and support for annual budget formulation and performance evaluation activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Capability to work independently and complete assignments within established guidelines and standard practices.
