We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery team at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.
Responsibilities- Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
- Obtain patient history and perform assessments, order and perform diagnostic procedures, and provide direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
- BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required.
- Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board Physician Assistants Task Force required.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
