**Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to provide chairside assistance to dentists and/or dental hygienists in the performance of dental procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, sterilizing, organizing, and setting up dental equipment, as well as ensuring that all dental instruments are cleaned, dated, and processed according to established clinic guidelines and standards.

**Responsibilities:

  • Expose and process dental radiographs in accordance with provider orders; assist in the monitoring and maintenance of radiation safety procedures and protocols.
  • FOLLOW and maintain all relevant federal, state, and institutional regulations, guidelines, policies, and standards for the provision of dental clinical services.
  • Order and maintain inventories of dental clinic supplies.
  • Interact with and process dental clinic patients; perform telephone triage, conduct patient interviews, and obtain prior approvals from third party payors.
  • Maintain dental laboratory slips and create and maintain dental records in accordance with established protocol and procedures.
  • Prepare instruments for sterilization and storage in trays.
  • Educate patients based on a sound knowledge of prevention and control of oral diseases; use various teaching aids to effectively present the information to patients.
  • Inventories and orders materials and supplies for the dental clinic.
  • Contact patients by telephone for return visits.
  • Take and pour up dental impressions under direction of a dentist.

**Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year
