Key Responsibilities

1. Assess the influence of available resident information on the evaluation and treatment process upon referral.

2. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and diagnose communication deficits and necessary equipment.

3. Design and execute a personalized treatment plan based on initial evaluations, incorporating achievable functional objectives.

4. Adhere to evaluation, treatment, and documentation standards while maintaining accurate departmental records in a timely manner.

5. Guide aides in appropriate practices and provide supervision in accordance with relevant state regulations.

6. Document progress notes in the resident's record after each treatment session.

Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

2. Possession of a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

3. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.

4. Valid state licensure in Speech Language Pathology is required.
