Youth Soccer Coaching Specialist

City Parks Foundation (CPF) is on the lookout for skilled college athletes, coaches, or physical education instructors to deliver complimentary soccer training to youth in urban parks. The sessions will occur on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Selected instructors will undergo training and will be engaged as seasonal staff within CPF's sports division. While our program spans various locations, instructors are typically assigned to their local borough.
Compensation: Based on experience, with rates ranging from $20 to $30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Teach fundamental soccer techniques and implement daily lesson plans.
- Manage groups of up to 40 children per session, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
- Oversee the distribution and storage of sports equipment.
- Track weekly attendance and maintain precise records of participants.
- Engage with parents and promote the program within the community.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient players or coaches with a solid understanding of soccer.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, both within and outside CPF.
- Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.
- Prior experience in group instruction, particularly with children, is preferred.
- Capability to transport sports equipment as necessary.
- All applicants will undergo a background check and SafeSport training.
