Job Title: CNC Operator

Prescott Industries is a leading manufacturer of architectural wood and laminate doors, as well as wood door frames and components. We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team.

Job Summary

The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating computerized equipment to form wood components and parts to facilitate the construction of wood doors made to order specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set up, and operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to produce machined parts.
  • Run tests before start of operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Monitor machines when assembling products to ensure smooth operation.
  • Inspect and measure finished product to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Identify and report any issues with machinery or equipment.
  • Perform daily maintenance on machinery as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure efficient operation.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in the workplace.
  • Keep work area organized and clean to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years CNC Operator experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate highly technical machinery and hand tools.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, specification sheets, templates, and technical procedures.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of the use of the English and metric measuring system and measuring tools.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and frequent lifting of heavy objects.
  • Must be able to move and lift up to 100 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to push weights up to 500 pounds with a team.
  • Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
