**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Texas State Supported Living Center. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing medication management services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe and manage medications as needed, ensuring optimal patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and progress notes.
Requirements:
- Licensed medical doctor (MD) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas.
- Board certified or eligible in psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Current DEA registration and National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
