As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and implementation of both new and existing software and lightning applications. Working within our On-Device Commerce engineering team, your responsibilities will encompass the entire software development lifecycle, including prioritization, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of applications in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with project stakeholders to ascertain product and technical requirements, conducting thorough analyses to identify integration needs.
  • Design and develop new software and web applications, while also customizing and enhancing existing applications. Manage the software update process and assist in the deployment of software releases.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior Software Development Engineers on proprietary software applications.
  • Oversee the creation and refinement of documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans and test results.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements within the industry, monitoring competitive applications and reviewing relevant literature.
  • Offer technical leadership throughout the design process, guiding best practices and methodologies.
  • Assist in tracking performance metrics to ensure timely delivery of software that meets specifications and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to verify that applications meet technical requirements.
  • Exhibit expertise in engineering methodologies and their application within your area of specialization.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in process design and redesign, effectively communicating architectural and design decisions.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be prepared to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Lightning Application development and JavaScript/NodeJS.
  • Experience with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
  • Expertise in integrating with various back-end service architectures, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with Concourse.
  • Understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
