Job Summary and QualificationsThe StaRN Residency Program at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital provides a unique opportunity for new graduate nurses to transition from student nurse to registered nurse. This paid program offers advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Document administration of care in the patient medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic response.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
- No previous experience needed
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
