Position Overview:

The role entails managing high-stakes and intricate Actuarial projects and initiatives. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates profitable expansion among current partners and the onboarding of new clients through strategic pricing and innovative product design.
  • Collaborates closely with Account Management teams to deliver insightful analytics and recommendations aimed at enhancing existing client relationships.
  • Provides expert guidance in pricing strategies and actuarial analytics, both externally and internally, to adapt to the changing landscape of the warranty sector.
  • Works in partnership with the IT department to establish robust rate structures and automate processes that contribute to overall scalability.
  • Engages in pivotal pricing discussions with executive leadership and serves as a trusted advisor to senior management.
  • Offers technical mentorship to all Actuarial Analysts and other members of the Risk Management team.
  • Effectively manages projects from conception through to delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics/Decision Science, Mathematics, or a related analytical discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Property & Casualty is essential.
  • Successful completion of at least five SOA/CAS actuarial examinations with a commitment to pursue further actuarial qualifications (company-sponsored study time, materials, and exam bonuses are provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in SQL, and capable of utilizing both tools (and others as necessary) for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience in the creation and maintenance of relational databases is required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated initiative and drive necessary to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting.
  • Previous experience in the insurance or automotive industry, management/strategy consulting, or as a business, financial, or operational analyst is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modeling software (R, EMB, Earnix, etc.) or Tableau is advantageous.
  • Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
