We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our team at Rudd Heart and Lung Cardiac Cath Lab. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring top-quality diagnostic images with minimal patient, physician, and staff radiation exposure.
Responsibilities:- Ensure top-quality diagnostic images with minimal patient, physician, and staff radiation exposure.
- Turn in monthly dosimetry badges for readings to be reported, checked, and posted by the Radiation Safety Officer.
- Responsible for radiation safety teaching, including basic radiation protection for staff and physicians, and working with the Radiation Physicist and State Bureau of Radiation Health to test radiation equipment.
- Assist in fluoroscoping lead aprons and thyroid shields annually to ensure their integrity.
- Provide top-quality diagnostic images for physician review.
- Prepare patients for pre and post catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited college for a Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification by the KY Bureau of Rad Health and American Registry of Radiological Technologist, CPR certification.
- Two years of experience as a general Radiologic Technologist or one year of experience as a Vascular Tech, with previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
