Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Pathologist to join our team at Stony Brook University's Department of Pathology. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for providing expert diagnostic services in Surgical Pathology and contributing to the education and training of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic services in Surgical Pathology, including gross and microscopic examination of tissues and specimens.
  • Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows in Surgical Pathology and related areas.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs and curricula in Surgical Pathology.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication, to advance the field of Surgical Pathology.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the Department of Pathology.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree in Anatomic Pathology or a related field.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology.
  • Eligibility for New York State licensure.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology or a related area.
  • Experience in medical education and research.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
