Position Summary:
The Forklift Operations Expert plays a crucial role in supporting the supply chain by managing the loading and unloading of goods, while operating specialized equipment to enhance logistics efficiency. This position also involves assisting with various warehouse functions to ensure the smooth operation of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
● Transport materials to and from designated locations, including customer goods and HAZMAT materials.
● Maintain daily logs for the loading, unloading, and delivery of merchandise to ensure accurate tracking and timely delivery.
● Verify proper loading procedures to prevent damage, ensuring compliance with dispatch authorizations.
● Efficiently load and unload merchandise within specified timeframes.
● Assign dock doors for inspection and loading/unloading using forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
● Store inbound and HAZMAT goods in their designated warehouse areas.
● Utilize protective gear and equipment to secure loads, disposing of waste materials responsibly.
● Report any technical or mechanical issues with forklifts and dock doors to the supervisor.
● Organize merchandise according to dispatch authorizations.
● Identify and report safety hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
● Document any damages or discrepancies upon receipt of goods.
● Adhere to safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
● Maintain a clean and organized work area following established procedures.
● Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
● Proficient in operating equipment and vehicles safely.
● Ability to quickly learn product codes and terminology.
● Strong analytical and decision-making skills related to inventory management.
● Team-oriented with a focus on customer service.
● Initiative and adaptability to changing circumstances.

Education & Experience:
● Basic math, language, and reading skills required.
● At least one year of experience as a forklift operator preferred.
● Completion of a forklift driving course is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
● Excellent hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision.
● Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
● Quick reaction times using hands, fingers, or feet.
● Capability to see details of objects within close proximity.
