We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Healthcare Technician Sr. in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This role will provide technical support to professional medical and nursing staff, performing routine clinical tasks and laboratory tests.
Key Responsibilities- Collect laboratory specimens and perform adult venipuncture and capillary sticks
- Assess clients for changes in condition based on established protocols
- Sterilize instruments, inventory and order supplies, and maintain logs and records
- Collect clinical data and compile statistics
- Work under the supervision of a licensed provider and demonstrate proficiency in performing specialized duties and functions
- Experience performing health screening tests and procedures, including venipuncture
- Knowledge of basic clinical and laboratory procedures and basic medical terminology
- Ability to work with patients of all ages and ethnicities and to work with a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to problem solve, follow directions, set priorities, and organize time to accomplish work
- Experience in public or healthcare setting and cleaning and sterilization of surgical equipment
- Office support experience in a medical setting and bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, Arabic, or Nepali
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician
