Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Healthcare Technician Sr. in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This role will provide technical support to professional medical and nursing staff, performing routine clinical tasks and laboratory tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect laboratory specimens and perform adult venipuncture and capillary sticks
  • Assess clients for changes in condition based on established protocols
  • Sterilize instruments, inventory and order supplies, and maintain logs and records
  • Collect clinical data and compile statistics
  • Work under the supervision of a licensed provider and demonstrate proficiency in performing specialized duties and functions
Requirements
  • Experience performing health screening tests and procedures, including venipuncture
  • Knowledge of basic clinical and laboratory procedures and basic medical terminology
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages and ethnicities and to work with a team
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve, follow directions, set priorities, and organize time to accomplish work
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in public or healthcare setting and cleaning and sterilization of surgical equipment
  • Office support experience in a medical setting and bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, Arabic, or Nepali
  • Certified as a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician
