Trenchless Industry Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Application Specialist to join our team at The Toro Company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for facilitating customer training, providing advanced technical support, and conducting live demonstrations for prospective customers.

• Travel to multiple job/construction sites throughout the year to provide training and technical support
• Facilitate customer training using industry expertise and adult learning principles
• Support sales by conducting pilot programs, providing technical support for rental equipment, and performing live demonstrations
• Assess trainees using a standardized rubric for certification purposes
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge of the Hammer Head Trenchless product lines
• Act as subject matter expert for training curriculum development and testing
• Provide regular feedback to product management from customers regarding current issues and future needs
• Participate in regional and national trade shows

This role requires extensive travel, including air and highway travel up to 75% of the time. You will work in a construction job site environment, which includes physical hazards such as utilities, powered vehicle and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery. You will also work with hazardous materials, including fuels, lubricants, fluids, and batteries.

• High School diploma required
• Valid US driver's license required
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the trenchless industry preferred
• Demonstrated record of working in close collaborative team environment
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Power Point or equivalent
• Results-oriented, hands-on approach to customer support and training
• Ability to mentor and coach customers on best practices
• Critical reasoning skills and ability to listen and acquire critical information
