  • Lead Compliance Efforts: Assist in maintaining a sound corporate compliance program to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Improve Health Information Effectiveness: Collaborate with teams to improve the effectiveness and availability of health information.
  • Manage Department Budgets: Develop and manage department capital and operating budgets to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Educate Users: Educate users on the requirements for timely, adequate, and accurate documentation to ensure high-quality health information.
  • Establish Productivity and Quality Standards: Establish and monitor productivity and quality standards for essential department functions.
  • Manage Health Information: Establish facility policies for the retention, release, and confidentiality of health information.
  • Lead Financial Matters: Manage and provide leadership in financial matters regarding budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.
  • Participate in Committees: Participate and contribute to assigned committees, teams, and task forces, including community service if applicable.
  • Lead Quality Initiatives: Provide leadership and direction for improving patient/customer satisfaction and ensuring quality patient care.
  • Ensure HIPAA Compliance: Serve as corporate privacy officer for HIPAA-related functions.
  • Update Health Information Activities: Update health information activities and systems to ensure that data meet institutional needs and regulatory requirements.
