McAllen, Texas, United States Mobile X Rays On Demand Full time
Job Overview

Position: X-Ray Technician

Salary: Competitive

About Us

With over four decades of collective expertise, Mobile X-Rays On Demand is dedicated to delivering swift and precise portable radiology solutions tailored to the needs of communities in South Texas.

Our Mission

We strive to provide exceptional medical care to our patients. This role involves the integration of innovative technology in mobile imaging and ensuring prompt and informed responses to our patients and referring physicians. Our commitment is to offer professional-grade service utilizing cutting-edge equipment at the patient's location, ensuring superior healthcare delivery in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Role Responsibilities

As an X-Ray Technician, you will receive directives from medical professionals and office coordinators regarding the imaging requirements of our patients. Your primary responsibility is to obtain clear imaging results, which necessitates the proficient operation of x-ray machinery while ensuring that patients remain calm and well-informed throughout the imaging process. You will address any inquiries or concerns patients may have regarding the procedures.

To minimize radiation exposure, you will employ a technique chart and utilize patient shielding, which includes the application of lead shields or aprons on areas of the patient's body that are not being imaged. You may also adjust the x-ray beams (collimate) to cover a limited area, thereby reducing radiation exposure. Additionally, you will be responsible for positioning the radiographic equipment at the appropriate distance, angle, and height relative to the patient. The technician will independently operate the Digital Radiography equipment and perform x-ray examinations under the guidance of our physicians.

Qualifications

Technologists are expected to maintain current certifications and licenses, uphold high standards of medical ethics, and demonstrate self-motivation. Exceptional customer service skills and a high level of professionalism are essential.

Requirements:
  • Valid Radiology Technician License and Certification
  • Current Driver's License
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred
