About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team at Brazos Healthcare Center. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition Services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and serving of meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents, in accordance with recommended dietary allowances and state and federal regulations.
  • Supervise food preparation and service to ensure that food is served in a timely and sanitary manner.
  • Conduct regular meal observations and reviews to ensure that residents' nutritional needs are being met.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement plans of care that promote residents' rights and accommodate individual needs and preferences.
  • Manage employee work schedules and approve hours worked, while also training and developing team members.
  • Act as facility manager on duty in the absence of higher-ranking management officials.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion or current enrollment in a course approved by the Dietary Managers Association.
  • Prefer one year of supervised food service experience in an institutional setting, focusing on planning, preparing, and servicing regular and therapeutic diets.
