As a Perioperative Nurse, you'll play a critical role in supporting both the preoperative and postoperative components of the patient's surgical experience. You'll work closely with our Anesthesia and Surgical Teams to provide high levels of patient experience and achieve the best patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Apply the Nursing Process: Use the nursing process to create a healing environment, formulate daily goals, and develop a plan of care for patients.
- Communicate Effectively: Articulate and translate the patient's condition to other care providers, negotiate and make recommendations for changes in patient care, and document patient information comprehensively.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Identify clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues for patient care, and apply evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
- Leadership and Development: Demonstrate a passion for developing others, precept students, graduate nurses, and new hires, and support continuous learning in the clinical area.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with pediatric experience preferred but not required.
- Education: BSN preferred but not exclusive.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, Monday through Friday, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.
