The Role of Certified Senior Care Assistant
  • The Certified Senior Care Assistant is an integral member of the Health & Wellness Team, tasked with delivering exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of licensed nurses and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily personal care routines, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Support residents in managing their medications.
  • Reposition residents in bed and accompany them throughout the community.
  • Provide toileting assistance and care for incontinence.
  • Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure and heart rate.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' health, ensuring timely communication with nursing staff.
  • Document daily care reports for the nursing team at the end of each shift.
  • Offer emotional support and comfort to residents and their families.
  • Identify and report any abnormal changes in residents' health status to supervisors.
  • Conduct nursing assessments, including vital signs monitoring and health evaluations, to promptly address resident needs.
  • Administer wound care and other nursing interventions as directed by registered nurses, adhering to state regulations and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities encompass exceptional customer service, ensuring safety, delivering quality resident care, and maintaining effective communication.


Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successful completion of State and Company background checks.
  • Exhibit strong time management abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted nursing license in the state.
  • Current CPR certification and commitment to continuing education.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Capable of interpreting and implementing written or verbal policies and procedures.
  • Experience in staff supervision and resident care skills.
  • Knowledge of medication management principles and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
