**Apprentice Programs Available**

We are currently accepting applications for apprenticeships in the following trades:

• Painter, Decorator & Paperhanger
• Dry Wall Taper (Finisher)
• Glazier

**Eligibility Requirements**

To be eligible for these apprenticeships, applicants must:

• Be at least 17 years old
• Be physically capable of performing the work of the trade, which may include climbing, working from ladders and scaffolds, crawling, lifting, and carrying heavy objects
• Be willing to work overtime, during any work shift, and weekends and holidays
• Have reliable transportation to and from work and required classes at the approved school
• Be willing to travel within the Local Jurisdiction of the sponsor
• Be able to read, hear and understand verbal instructions and warnings given in English

**Apprenticeship Details**

Apprentices will receive on-the-job training and related classroom instruction. The apprenticeship program is registered with the Department of Labor and meets standards established by the Commissioner. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs.

Applicants who do not have an internet access may visit their local library or local New York State Department of Labor Career Center, if open for business. Applications must be received by midnight on the last day of the recruitment period.
