Software Developer for Cloud Security Solutions

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Cloud Security team at Oracle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cloud security applications, improving system and database performance, and identifying security flaws in code.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cloud security applications
  • Improve system and database performance
  • Identify security flaws in code using Java, Python, Perl, and Selenium
  • Conduct security research for new types of security issues and security tools
  • Report bugs and track for resolution
  • Work with global development teams to build testing solutions and troubleshoot security issues

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • 5+ years of developing web-based applications in Java
  • 2+ years of experience in application security with tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Qualys WAS, WebInspect, Nessus, Clair, Trivy, Grype, etc)
  • Strong background and knowledge in application security domain (OWASP, etc)
  • Solid object-oriented and multi-thread programming skills in Java
  • Experience with development techniques using OJET, MySQL, and Java
  • Knowledge of multi-thread programming, Linux, JavaScript, Python, Perl, Shell, and XML
  • Experience working with Docker, distributed systems, microservices, or Kubernetes
  • Positive work attitude, self-motivated with strong capability of fast learning
  • Good team player and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous software testing and automation experience with Selenium is desired
