Job Summary

We are seeking a Substitute Custodian to join our team at Ventura Unified School District. As a Substitute Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in schools and facilities
  • Perform custodial duties, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing surfaces and equipment
  • Operate and maintain custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and mops
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
