Job Overview
Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve user issues as escalated Tier II tickets within the IT Service Management framework.
  • Apply security patches and conduct regular maintenance for operational and security needs.
  • Monitor systems for irregularities and conduct thorough root cause investigations.
  • Maintain documentation of all modifications to testing, operational, and cloud environments in accordance with customer and Department of Defense standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2-4 years of experience in operational Linux settings. Relevant logistics experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Certification in DoD 8570 IAT II.
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance with the capability to obtain and sustain a CI Poly.
Essential Skills:
  • Experience in creating, modifying, and troubleshooting user accounts.
  • Proficient in REDHAT Linux and related operating systems.
  • Strong skills in shell scripting and Linux command line interfaces.
  • Experience in using shell scripting for automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SELINUX, including its configuration and upkeep.
  • Familiarity with Ansible for the purpose of securing operating systems and maintaining configuration management baselines.
  • Understanding of AWS cloud platforms.
  • Ability to automate processes using basic scripting languages (e.g., Bourne, Korn, Python).
  • Experience in implementing security measures that comply with Department of Defense regulations.
  • Experience in managing, creating, and altering filesystems.
  • Experience in installing Linux operating systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of command line interface fundamentals.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with DISA and its support to mission partners.
  • Preferred TS/SCI with CI Poly.
  • Red Hat Linux certification.
  • AWS Certifications.
