Position Title:
Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care

Essential Qualifications:

Experienced Radiologic Technologist
Accurately documents in the medical record and facilitates optimal patient flow.
This role requires flexibility to work at various locations within the healthcare system.
Associate's degree or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Experience in a medical or outpatient health environment; 2+ years of experience in a medical office is highly preferred.
ARRT Certification is mandatory;
Must possess a Maryland State License for Medical Radiation.
CPR Certification is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional customer service and patient interaction skills; proficient in Computer & Electronic Medical Records and capable of functioning in diverse clinical settings.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Contributes to the achievement of established departmental goals and objectives while adhering to policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations. Complies with governmental and accreditation standards.
Ability to adapt to various sites/locations within the system to perform all responsibilities effectively.

Completes all mandatory training including, but not limited to, safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR, EMR, general compliance, harassment, and service.

Maintains cleanliness, stocks, and sterilizes equipment, in addition to preparing patient rooms for care delivery.
Delivers patient care in accordance with policy while prioritizing patient and employee safety and quality of care.
Embraces innovative technology and utilizes the electronic health record.

Manages patient flow through consistent and frequent communication with patients and families, demonstrating genuine regard for their time and comfort.

Utilizes and supports the iCare program.

Conducts patient vitals, BMI assessments, EKGs, vision and hearing tests, splinting, and general patient care under the supervision of the medical provider.

Conducts follow-up calls for lab tests, patient experiences, and clinical results in a professional manner and in accordance with policy.

Performs venipuncture and selected patient and laboratory testing (point of care); initiates care pathways as per policy.
Executes x-rays following medical provider orders; forwards images to the appropriate radiologist for review; maintains x-ray equipment and adheres to safety protocols.
Fosters a respectful atmosphere towards patients, families, vendors, employers, and colleagues. Communicates and acts professionally at all times.
Provides care aligned with the organization's vision and values, fostering patient confidence and loyalty by exceeding expectations.

Acts as a patient escort throughout the care process and assists in patient discharge, ensuring clarity for the patient or family members.

Supports new clinical and service initiatives; actively seeks opportunities to enhance care and the patient experience.
