About the Position

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as an Occupational Therapist in a Medical Treatment Facility under the Defense Health Agency (DHA). As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses and regain their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify their functional limitations and activity restrictions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on how to perform daily activities safely and effectively.
Requirements
  • A graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • A valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the Medical Treatment Facility is located.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Red Cross.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a clinical setting and interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. The Occupational Therapist will be required to stand for long periods, lift patients, and use equipment to assist with patient care.
