About the Role:

As a Patient Service Representative with Midwest Dental Group, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. You will be responsible for:

  • Enthusiastically greeting and assisting patients in person and via the telephone
  • Updating patient charts and patient accounts
  • Scheduling hygiene appointments to maximize provider schedules
  • Asking for patient referrals
  • Processing new patient paperwork and accounts
  • Reviewing patient insurance eligibility from managed care lists
  • Creating and maintaining patient call lists and utilizing various scripting for patient communication
  • Ensuring all provider charges are posted correctly
  • Confirming patient appointments
  • Preparing and processing referrals
  • Processing insurance submissions and pre-authorizations
  • Managing delinquent patient accounts and following up on patient complaints
  • Ensuring office supplies are in stock as needed
  • Adhering to HIPAA privacy policies
  • Maintaining a neat and professional environment

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Front desk experience in a medical or dental office
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • General office equipment knowledge
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Analytical skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • CPR Certification
