Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Global Product Transformation Director to lead our digital enablement efforts. This role requires a leader who can set a global cross-brand strategy to enable the technology used to design and commercialize a dynamic mix of products in multiple categories across the globe.

About the Role

The successful candidate will focus on partnering with Chief Design and Product Officers across brands and their teams, as well as the lead of the Global Supply Chain Platforms, to lay out the technology strategy and vision that will lead to the rapid design and visualization of new products using digital tools.

This individual will work across brands and corporate functions to lead the strategy, financial budgeting, and implementation of all technology tools and solutions that will help transform how the design, merchandising, and supply chain teams bring amazing products to life.

The goal is to standardize processes across the globe while enabling a faster go-to-market timeline and significant reduction in product development and per-unit costs.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Chief Design/Product Officers to define the technology strategy supporting VF's entire product creation process.
  • Lead a global, distributed team to understand, drive, and deliver technology solutions.
  • Develop multi-year technology roadmaps and associated program budgets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing against technology roadmaps, delivering new tools and technology that empower brands to create new and compelling products.
  • Drive the definition and organizational change management related to best-in-class and consistent design standards and practices across brands.
  • Accountable for multi-million dollar program budgets, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Drive the execution of multi-year programs to roll-out technology solutions across brands and regions.
  • Build high-calibre teams to deliver and support best-in-class technology solutions.
  • Proactively research new technologies, tools, and processes to drive the digital product creation technology roadmap.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Design, or related area.
  • 15+ years related work experience in technology management, specializing in product creation and/or product lifecycle management, preferably in the footwear or apparel industry.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues.
  • Self-starter with a proactive working style.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience deploying complex applications across a globally distributed organization.
  • Expert-level consulting and deep understanding of design and architecture of global, high-availability solutions.
  • Ability to travel to brand locations both domestically and internationally.
Compensation

$250,000 - $300,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
