Qualifications:
Education:
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience in apheresis, specifically in the collection of hematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC, Apheresis) and mononuclear cells (MNC, Apheresis) is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
Current RN license in NC or a compact state is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory. Candidates should also be pursuing or have obtained the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) credentials, such as Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMTCN) certification, or the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Qualification in Apheresis (QIA) credentials is preferred. Completion of the ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or an equivalent within six months of hire is required.

Additional Skills/Requirements:
Must be organized and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Skills in patient education, teamwork, and collaboration are essential. The ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members is crucial. Candidates should demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and a desire to provide compassionate, holistic care while being able to work independently without close supervision.

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of HCT and cellular therapy processes, including mobilization, apheresis, conditioning regimens, HCT/cellular product infusion, pre and post-transplant patient care, chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR T) therapies and complications, Center for International Blood & Marrow Research (CIBMTR) reporting, and standards of the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) is preferred.
