We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Valle Vista Health System, a 132-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Greenwood, IN.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care and supervision to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist residents in learning and practicing hygiene and self-help skills.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Participate in recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
- Transport residents to medical appointments and ensure scheduled programming is carried out.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
- At least six months to one year of experience working with a behavioral health in-patient population preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A safe and supportive work environment that prioritizes patient care.
