We are seeking an experienced PACU nurse to join our Surgical Services Unit at Presbyterian Hospital.
As a PACU nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery. You will monitor post-operation vital signs, assess levels of consciousness, and carefully observe patients for any side effects from anesthesia.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.
- Prioritize the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently, integrating a standards-based framework model.
- Registered Nurse - State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS required at time of hire.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Previous ICU/ED or PACU/Pre Op experience preferred.
