Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN), maintaining related medical records.
  • Presentation of medication to patients and observation of ingestion or administration using specified procedures.
  • Taking vital signs or observing patients to detect response to medication, reporting reactions.
  • Restocking medication inventories.
  • Providing direct patient care and ensuring resident safety by identifying hazards and emergency situations, initiating corrective action as appropriate.
