Research and Development Quality Specialist

The Research and Development Quality Specialist will have the opportunity to enhance their real-life experiences and learn modern skills in the field of food science and technology.
This internship will allow the successful candidate to gain hands-on experience in an innovative R&D facility and understand how data is applied to make insightful observations, determine efficiency trends, and business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing studies on current and future product formulation and providing data and recommendations based on findings
- Using systems to their maximum potential and making reporting effective, efficient, timely, accurate, and insightful
- Analyzing current developmental processes; developing and implementing ideas for improvement
- Developing performance standards & metrics; implementing analysis and reporting processes to monitor operational performance
Requirements include:
- Enrolled in Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Food Science, Business, or related field
- Possesses interest in working in food manufacturing
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
- Students with a minimum of one year of major-specific classes, preferred
- Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to loud, hot, cold, or wet environments
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs for eight hours a day
