About the Position

This position is located at a Military Treatment Facility under the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The job is open to various employment authorities, including Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP), Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP), and Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) of 1998.

Duties
  • Review requisitions, supporting documents, and reference material to determine appropriate action required.
  • Perform document control work involved in the processing of supply/equipment transactions.
  • Oversee the accurate maintenance and update of required database management tools.
  • Maintain contact with customers on program requirements for routine, urgent, critical, and other specialized equipment items.
  • Provide acquisition support for expense, investment, and capital equipment.
  • Conduct research of catalog information to locate cost-effective substitutes and new products.
Requirements
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.
Qualifications

Applicants must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with providing acquisition support for a medical facility, utilizing automated systems to maintain and/or track procurement data, and certifying that work is performed in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
