We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in Union County Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric therapy and be able to work independently with students of varying ages and abilities.

About the Role

This is a full-time itinerant OT position, which means you will be working in different school settings throughout the district. As an occupational therapist, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate students' needs and develop individualized intervention plans to help them participate fully in their educational programs.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate students' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify areas of strength and need
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive comprehensive support
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • A valid North Carolina license as an Occupational Therapist
  • At least three years of experience working with children in a therapeutic setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 per year, based on experience. Additionally, you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
