Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to become a vital part of our finance team. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to engage in various accounting functions within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounting department's operations, ensuring an effective organizational structure is in place to meet departmental objectives.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, business activity reports, and financial forecasts, as well as annual budgets and regulatory reports.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and oversee internal control measures.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts, implementing and monitoring financial control systems.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable accurately.
  • Ensure the timely and precise processing of payroll.
  • Engage in strategic data analysis and modeling for senior leadership.
  • Supervise the accounts receivable department to ensure efficient management of aging components.
  • Coordinate the accounts payable department to guarantee timely payments of all invoices.
  • Monitor banking activities and perform necessary bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with tax audits and the preparation of tax returns.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls and processes.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Oracle software.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end closing processes, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Great Plains software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in handling large data sets and compiling detailed reports.
  • Well-versed in current financial topics, accounting principles, tax regulations, and business environments.
