Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred.

Security Clearance:
Applicants should ideally possess a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance at the time of hiring. Candidates must be capable of obtaining a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable timeframe post-hire. All selected candidates will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
1. Collaborate with Software Architects to design cloud applications for optimal performance, including aspects such as content caching, compute optimizations, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
2. Work closely with Project Management and leadership to enhance our solutions continuously.
3. Guide engineering teams in the adoption and evolution of Cloud technologies.
4. Serve as the Platform Engineer, engaging with critical internal and external platform consumers.

Support and Implementation:
In this role, you will assist in the successful deployment of Application PaaS in the Cloud through:
- Architectural guidance
- Best practices
- Data migration
- Implementation and troubleshooting
- Monitoring and more.

Required Skills and Experience:
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in some of the following areas:
- Experience with public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deployment of CI/CD technologies like GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef.
- Maintenance of production-grade applications in virtualized environments using automation.
- Creation of pipelines, Ansible Playbooks, and Terraform configurations for automating administrative tasks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, or Scala.

Additional Beneficial Experience:
- IT security practices including encryption, certificates, key management, and patch management.
- Installation of IaaS technologies such as AWS, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIO.
- Management of Cloud Resources in AWS and/or Azure.
- Familiarity with PaaS technologies like Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift.
- Experience with cloud automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Packer.
- Knowledge of open-source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch).

Networking Technologies:
- Understanding of scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX) and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms).
