Radiology Instructor

Southwest Virginia Community College is seeking a highly qualified Radiology Clinical Instructor to provide education and supervision in a clinical setting for radiography students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography and excellent instructional and clinical skills.

• Provide students with appropriate and adequate clinical supervision and instruction.
• Perform clinical competency evaluations for each student assigned to their supervision.
• Participate in continuing education to improve and maintain competence in evaluation skills.
• Meet regularly with program officials to communicate student progress, strengths, and weaknesses.
• Assist in maintaining student clinical records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with program policy.

• Credentialing in Radiography in good standing by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Documented equivalent of two years full-time professional experience specific to the modality.
• Ability to use instructional and clinical tracking technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association.

• Prior experience teaching within a JRCERT-accredited program.
