We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our Medical Nutrition Therapy department in a part-time, non-benefit role (0.4 FTE). This position will work on-site and require collaboration with our healthcare team to provide medical nutrition therapy to patients with various conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient nutritional needs and develop individualized nutrition care plans
- Provide medical nutrition therapy and supervise the provision of nutritional services in assigned work areas
- Document patient responses to care and changes in care plans in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and make recommendations for nutrition and medication regimens
- Participate in training new staff and in-service training for existing staff
- Develop educational materials and provide nutrition education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Bachelor's degree in food/nutrition or dietetics
- Completion of a Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) approved practice program
- Registered Dietitian (RD) licensure in Minnesota or eligibility with licensure within six months of employment
- Computer skills
- Possesses nutrition knowledge to care for patients across the life cycle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
