Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Whittier Health Network.

Estimated Salary: $35.00/Hour

About the Role

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures using prescribed levels of ionizing radiation. You will operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of specified body parts and participate in clerical, transport, and ancillary duties as necessary for the operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision using independent judgment and ingenuity.
  • Prepare rooms for procedures and choose appropriate film, cassettes, radiation protection, and exposure parameters to produce quality images.
  • Work on call with the ability to be flexible with the needs of the Radiology Department.
Requirements
  1. Satisfactory completion of a Radiologic Science Program in an AMA-approved school.
  2. Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
  3. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) of Adult, Child, and Infant.
  4. Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  5. Massachusetts State License.
  6. Maintenance of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) file as required by the State of Massachusetts and ARRT.
  7. Two or three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or medical facility is preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
