About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team at US Electrical Services. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our company's credit and collections activities, ensuring timely and accurate payment from our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Credit Investigations and Approval: Conduct thorough credit investigations for new and existing customers, and make informed decisions on credit approval.
  • Account Maintenance and Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, including credit limits, payment history, and outstanding balances.
  • Collections and Recovery: Develop and implement effective collections strategies to recover outstanding debts from customers, while maintaining a positive and professional relationship.
  • Payment Reconciliation and Processing: Reconcile and process customer payments, ensuring accurate and timely posting to our accounting system.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on credit and collections activities, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, management, and other stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
