Phlebotomist Sr PRN Job Description

At Texas Oncology, we are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist Sr PRN to join our team. As a Phlebotomist Sr PRN, you will play a critical role in supporting our Mildland, Tx location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process specimens from patients under direct supervision.
  • Follow quality assurance and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with patient flow as needed.
  • Properly identify patients, draw blood samples, and send them to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Maintain collection areas and equipment, and perform record-keeping duties.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy recommended.
  • Current state licensure if applicable.
  • Three years of experience for Level 2 position, and five or more years of experience for Level Sr position.
Work Environment:

The work environment for this role requires direct contact with patients, potential exposure to blood/body fluids, chemotherapeutic agents, or transmittable infections. You will also be handling glassware, needles, and corrosive chemicals.
